About us
My name is Hanna Holmberg-Sundman, and I come from Kimitoön, which is located about an hour’s drive south of Turku. In my opinion, Kimitoön is in the most beautiful part of Finland’s archipelago. It is also the largest island in our country and the only place in Finland where there are tidewater.
I live with my husband Victor and our three Boston Terriers. Our family also includes our four grown children, who live on their own, as well as two wonderful grandchildren.
We live in a detached house in the countryside, surrounded by forest and nature, where our dogs can run freely as much and as fast as they like.
I completed the breeder’s basic course in March 2006. It was the first Swedish-language course of its kind organized in Finland. I applied for the kennel name O’haana and it was approved on November 22, 2006.

I’ve had dogs on and off since I was a child. At home, we had a Pyrenean Mountain Dog female, and my first dog of my own was a black Briard—the kindest and most pleasant dog in the world, but extremely afraid of loud noises and gunshots after a New Year’s Eve accident.
After the Briard, our household was filled with Golden Retrievers and a couple of English Cocker Spaniels. My daughters also each had their own dog—the older one had a Chinese Crested, and the younger one had a Jack Russell.
Indoors, we also had rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, and other small rodents.
In our own stable, we had both our own horses and some boarders, as well as a pony. There was also a flock of chickens and the roosters Hugo and Helmer.
I truly miss those times
I was active in the dog show scene between 2006 and 2014, mainly with the Cockers but also with the Goldens. It was after I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and suffered a severe Lyme disease infection that I realized I could no longer manage dogs with long coats that need to be trimmed, washed, and all the upkeep that comes with it.

NORTHWORTH AT LAST
That was when my Boston dream came true—Uno moved in with us. He was born at our neighbor’s place, who is also our dear friend Leni Finne of Kennel Finnridge.
Some time after that, Doris came to us (she now lives with a friend of mine), and about a year later, Ebba joined the family—both from Viktoria Arkstig of Kennel Pretty Poison. Later on, Muffin arrived from Olivia Schell of Sångfågelns Kennel, both breeders based in Sweden.
Bostons are open, social, friendly, and loving family dogs. Not a single day have we regretted choosing this breed. Well—okay, maybe I’m bending the truth just a little. There might have been the occasional flicker of regret when something got chewed that shouldn’t have, or when a plant was knocked over in the middle of one of their high-speed dashes.
As dogs, they’re full of humor, wisdom, and joy. They love our grandchildren just as much as they enjoy spending time with my aging parents. They’re involved in everything we do—and in between, they relax and simply enjoy life.

Granchild Nils with Doris, Uno and the tiny Ebba.
